Molly's Mermaid Party

For Molly's 8th birthday party, we hosted 8 other 'mermaids' for swimming and snacks! All of the girls had lots of fun!!! The pool was a little cool, so besides swimming, we had lots of time for jumping on the trampoline, doing a mermaid craft, eating octoweiners & cake, opening gifts, applying mermaid tattoos, and playing with new toys we dug out of the treasure chest.

Cooler Weather, Birthday Fingerpainting & Mother's Day Out

This past weekend brought us some much needed cooler weather and we are excited!  I hope it sticks around for awhile..............bring on FALL!!! Sunday was Molly's 8th birthday and one of her gifts was a set of fingerpaints and art paper. We got right outside in our pjs on Monday morning (Labor Day Holiday!) and started fingerpainting.  Sam and Stella had never experienced such fun, and boy, did they get it everywhere.  Molly decided to have a higher work space so they couldn't ruin her masterpieces.

Today, Sam and Stella started their first Mother's Day Out Program at Treasure Patch Kids in Round Rock.  They had been there for 'orientation' earlier this week, and unfortunately when when entered the building, Sam remembered........................ He started to melt down in the hallway and once in the classroom, he lost it! Meanwhile, Stella was already looking at books with the teacher and waving bye bye!  I simply knelt down and said to Sam, "I Love You, and I'll be back" and then told Stella the same.  I'm not sure if anyone heard that last part (over the crying!!!)  So, as I write this blog, and prepare to "do lunch" with a friend I haven't seen in ages, I want you all to know
I'M LOVING MDO ALREADY!!!
Here's one more pic that sums up Stella's personality..........giving kisses to the camera :)

Nail Family Baptisms

This past Sunday, on August 28th, 2011, four of the five of us were baptized at Rockbridge United Methodist Church in Cedar Park.  Molly decided on her own to accept Christ into her heart and that it was time for her to be baptized in the church.  Eric and I decided that it would be a good time to get Sam and Stella taken care of as well, and then Eric decided to publicly profess his faith and follow suit!  Here are some pictures from our special day!!!

Ok Ok Ok.......I'm really going to try to do better!!!

Several people have mentioned to me lately that I haven't done a very good job of keeping up with my blog.  WELL, they are correct!  It hasn't been quite three months, but what can I say?   My excuses have been, but are not limited to:

Summer (no school)
Family reunions x 2 (back to back weekends)
Vacation Bible School for Molly
Diva Camp for Molly
Tennis lessons for Molly
Swimming lessons for Molly, Sam and Stella
Playing at the River in New Braunfels
Trip to see friends near Dallas
Swimming in our backyard pool
New Church Home (Yay Rockbridge!)
Elected to the Austin Mothers of Multiples Board
Weekly play dates with Sam & Stella's twin friends
Occasional Mom's night out with my friends
Eric travelled to Singapore, Japan, and San Francisco for work :(

SO, in a nut shell, I've been a little busy and blogging was not on my 'to do' list!  I am hopeful that since school has resumed for Molly, and Sam and Stella start Mothers Day Out soon, we (and when I say we, I mean I) can get back into a routine :)  I am going to try to post a weekly update and sometimes photos may accompany that..........no promises on that second part!!!

The Word "School" Has Been Banned by MOLLY

We started our summer this week with TONS of fun stuff!  Memorial day was commerated on Sunday with a backyard BBQ and Swimming with lots of friends and good food.  My sister in law Lindsey (Justin's wife) dropped off her middle son at camp on Sunday in New Braunfels, then headed this way with 5 year old Jake.  My other sister in law Shelle (Eric's sister) also joined us on Sunday and we've had a blast this week.

Some of our highlights have included:
a Round Rock Express baseball game on Monday,
swimming EVERY DAY (sometimes twice),
playing at The Big Bounce,
eating lunch at Rosas,
making our own pizza,
playing at the park,
and watching great movies!
We've had a fun time and we'll miss them :(

As for the title of my post...........
Molly decided that the S word must be banned from our vocab-
at least for the rest of the summer!!!!!
