Camping Trip and Automatic Baby

Last night after returning from our first camping trip with our family of five, we were unwinding and getting ready for our last week of Kindergarten! The babies were watching a Baby Einstein video and I commented to Molly how cute one of the babies in the video's earrings were (since she just got her's pierced). She said, "when I have a baby, I'm never going to get it's ears pierced." I asked her when she thought she'd have one and she said, "probably when I'm like 25." Eric responded and said he thought a that was a good age to FIRST get married and then have babies! She replied, "orrrrrr, I could just have an automatic baby first, then get married and have more babies so I'd have a helper for my next kids" We were both trying not to laugh. She went on to explain that an 'automatic' baby is one you get without a husband!!! I explained that Rex and I had her to love and spoil, not so that we would have an 'automatic' helper with the next babies! She said ok, skipped off to play, and never looked back :0) Oh, the innocence.................As for the camping trip. We had lots of fun at Lake Buchanan's Big Chief RV campgrounds. We caught bugs, went for walks, cooked out, and took the babies swimming in the pool- their first swimming experience- and they loved it. We enjoyed great weather, good food and good friends. After we got home on Sunday, everyone was getting a much needed bath and Sam looked up and me and smiled, showing me his very first tooth had come through on the bottom right! I had no idea he was teething............what a trooper!!! Now I'm off to finish up laundry from the weekend and think about one more week of school for Molly. Goodbye May, Hello June :)

Bring On Summer

Ready for summer!!!We are all getting ready for summertime around our house. Molly has only 5 more days until she becomes a kindergarten graduate from Round Rock Christian Academy. She has enjoyed her year there, and is looking forward to the first grade. Last week she decided to "face her fears" and get her ears pierced. She was so brave, and didn't shed a tear! I was so proud of her. We also worked on a school project for the kindergarten end of year rodeo. We made a pink stick pony which turned out rather cute!! She has also enjoyed being in a Daisies troop this last year, participating in cookie sales, taking tours of a fire and police station and all around fun. She and Eric have already been swimming in our pool a few times and they are both ready to make it a daily ritual (if only working didn't get in the way!). Molly is also looking forward to attending baking camp, VBS, princess camp and spending a week in Eldorado this summer. The twins are growing at such a rapid pace, they will be 7 months old next week! Stella has four teeth and is getting up on her knees and rocking. We are fearful that she will be crawling soon and into everything. Sam has no sign of any teeth, but is rolling everywhere he wants to go. They are at such a fun age. We laugh a lot and have so much fun. Due to the fact that Sam has outgrown his infant carrier's weight limit (22lbs)we have moved them both to their big kid carseats (rear facing, of course!) and they are loving all the room. The babies both sleep 10(ish) hours a night, so that makes us all happier :) Feeding time is especially fun since we are trying new things and experimenting. WHAT A MESS!!! Eric is doing great too. We went to an Astros game recently and had a 'ball'. He is looking forward to an upcoming camping trip to Lake Buchanan and spending some time at the river in New Braunfels this summer. I am staying busy keeping up with everyone. I am walking in my first 5K in two weeks, so I have been trying to get in regular walks to get ready for that. The babies love going out with me and thankfully it has not been too hot yet. I also joined a Mothers of Multiples club during my pregnancy that meets monthly and has playdates often. I am enjoying the friendships I have made through the club and relying on them for advice and information has been wonderful! I have a babysitter who comes a couple of mornings a week so that I can grocery shop, run errands, and keep my sanity! Thankfully my amazing husband understands my need for this, and he has made it possible! Our lives are so blessed and full, but we couldn't do it without all the support of our family and friends. I recently got Sam and Stella's baby books updated (after 6 months) and it was a chore. I decided to start our online 'family book' so that I could keep a record of events and pictures all in one place. So, here goes..........HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!!!!!!!
