11 Months Old

Sam and Stella are now ELEVEN months old!  They will be a year on the 28th of October and we are having a pumpkin carving party.  I've decided to make their smash cakes, so last weekend Molly & I practiced..................  They are both pulling up on everything, cruising, and letting go for a few seconds to stand independently.  They can both clap and dance and they love music of any kind.  Stella is saying da da, uh oh, and die die (bye bye!)  Sam grunts a lot and makes plenty of noise, but no real 'words' are coming out yet.  They love bathtime, wagon rides, and playing in their crawl through tunnel.  Bedtime is not always fun, but they generally sleep from 7pm to 6:30am and we are ALL happy about that!  I have been looking for halloween shirts for them (that are not too hot) and I found some cute ones at CVS pharmacy, of all places :)

Here are the new shirts.
Stella's says:  Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid
Sam's says: Hand Over the Candy, and Nobody Gets Hurt.

Escape

Ok- How many things can you find wrong with this picture???  Sam and Stella were playing happily in the corral (aka: the baby cage) and I walked into the kitchen to get my phone.  When I came back (seriously 60 seconds later) they had ESCAPED!!!  Here are the other things that are a "little" wrong (some of which you cannot see):
1.  Stella is missing a sock
2.  Sam is trapped under the small table that we keep our remotes on
3.  Remote controls and remote caddy are on the floor next to Stella
4.  Stella has a penny in her mouth
5.  Sam has an electrical cord in his hands
6.  The pen in Stellas hand is soon to be stuck up her nose, just after I got the penny out
7.  The dog is inside the corral with a stuffed animal in his mouth- happy as can be!

Sure Glad we got that pool fence finished........................just in the nick of time! (see next post)

Our New Fence!!!

Our swimming pool was completed just over a year ago and this past week we were able to get the safety fence (with lockable gates!) installed.  We also had a privacy fence built around the pool pump equipment.  It all looks SO nice and I feel much more at peace about having small kiddos around the house!

Kids Pictures

Our Friend and Photographer, April Skinner, took photos of the kids in August and I just wanted to share a few........... She did a wonderful job and in case you never get to come to our home and see the 'Wall' of her photos, here's a sampling!

Molly's New Boots

Molly's dad got her a new pair of boots to start off the school year and I think they are just adorable!  She has worn them several times now and has told me they are really comfy.  I wonder if they come in 'mom' sizes????  Yesterday she had them on with a cute dress and I just had to snap this pic.  She is growing up way too fast, but having a ball in first grade.  She's loving gymnastics and her pal Walter provides lots of entertainment too (when all the homework is done!!!)

Rub a Dub Dub- 2 Nails in the Tub

Sam and Stella have never taken a bath together until a few days ago!  I had Eric backing me up in case someone got out of hand with the slipping and sliding, and he was right there to hand a baby off to when we were done.  Oh, yeah, and he also took some fun pictures- Thanks Daddy! They had a fun time splashing around and it ended way too soon.....................

WALTER

On Sunday before her birthday party we told Molly she could open ONE gift a little early......
 Opening a "necklace" with
a Dog Tag Attached that had phone numbers
on one side and "Walter" on the back.

Trying to figure out why the tags said "Walter"

The moment she figures out Walter is her new Schnauzer Dog!!!!!

Eric, Molly, and Walter

She sure does love her new Pal!!!

Pappa Joe & The Twins

Lots and family and friends came to our house this past weekend to celebrate Molly's birthday and the Labor Day Holiday.   I snapped a couple of pictures of the Twins with my dad, Pappa Joe Max.  They sure do love their Pappa!!!

Scooby Doo Party

Molly turned 7 on Saturday, the 4th, and on Sunday we had a Scooby Doo birthday bash!  Lots of friends and family came to help celebrate.  Eric smoked ribs and chicken, and also grilled burgers, hotdogs and sausage.  We had beans, chips and potato salad too!!!  To top it all off, we had TWO double layered chocolate chip cookie cakes.  The kids had fun swimming, busting a Scooby Pinata and jumping on the trampoline.  Molly got lots of great gifts and had a ball!

First Grade!

Molly started first grade this year at Round Rock Christian, and she is really enjoying being back with all of her friends!  Her teacher is Mrs. Faught and there are 12 kids in her class.  She has spelling words to learn and practice writing each week, as well as a bible verse to memorize.  She is also reading to us each night and getting faster and faster!  We are looking foward to a great year :)
